Paul was
born in London and grew up on a farm near Parkhill, Ontario. He
attended the University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor of
Commerce degree, graduating with distinction and on the Dean’s List and
Honour Roll in 2005.
Paul
attended law school at the University of Western Ontario and obtained a
Bachelor of Laws degree in 2008. While in law school, Paul volunteered
at Community Legal Services, the legal clinic at Western Law. He was
also an active contributor to Nexus, the law school’s student
newspaper.
Paul
started at Cohen HighleyLLP
as an articling student in 2008. During his articles, he was exposed to
all of the firms practice areas and attended on matters before the
Superior Court of Justice as well as various administrative boards and
tribunals. Paul also attended settlement negotiations in British
Columbia regarding a natural gas pipeline during this time.
He
was called to the bar in June 2009 and |
