Alexandra is an associate in the Personal Injury
Department. She attended the University of Western Ontario, where she
obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, and graduated with
distinction and on the Dean’s Honour List in 2004. Alexandra was a
recipient of the University of Western Ontario In-Course Scholarship and
the Louis Kwitko Scholarship in Philosophy awarded for the highest
academic achievement. |

Alexandra pursued an intensive business-focused joint
Canadian and American law program at the University of Windsor and
University of Detroit Mercy Law Schools. She obtained her Canadian
Bachelor of Laws and U.S. Juris Doctor Degrees in 2007. She also
received an award for her outstanding academic achievement in the law of
NAFTA and a Certificate of Recognition for her performance in the Third
National S.O. Law Moot Court Competition. |

While attending law
school, Alexandra volunteered as a Case Worker for the Community Legal
Aid Clinic and was an upper year mentor to students in the joint
program. Alexandra served on the Dean’s Tutorial Society as a Tutorial
Assistant for the J.D./LL.B. legal writing and research course. She also
assisted the Director of Academic Support in the co-ordination and
administration of the Dean’s Tutorial Society. Alexandra was a Senior
Editor and Selections Editor for the Windsor Review of Legal and Social
Issues. |

During the summer of 2006, Alexandra served as a
judicial law clerk under the Honorable James M. Biernat in the
Civil/Criminal Division of the Macomb County Circuit Court for The
Sixteenth Judicial Circuit of Michigan. Alexandra distinguished herself
in assisting the Honorable Judge Biernat in the drafting of judicial
opinions, reviewing motions and conducting legal research. |

Alexandra started at Cohen Highley as an articling
student in 2007. During her articles, she was exposed to all of the
firm’s areas of practice. Alexandra gained valuable experience in legal
drafting and research and attended on matters before Ontario Courts and
Administrative Boards and Tribunals. |

Alexandra was called to
the Ontario Bar in June 2008. She is a member of the Ontario Bar
Association and Middlesex Law Association. Alexandra also speaks
Romanian and conversational Italian. |
