Joe Hoffer is a partner with the London law firm of Cohen Highley. Joe has practiced Residential Tenancies Law for the past 24 years. He represents owners/landlords exclusively on all legal issues involving multi-residential properties, including Rent Control applications; Landlord Tenant Board hearings; Human Rights and Housing cases, Fire and Building Code proceedings, Zoning and By-law compliance cases; condominium conversions; and real estate litigation. Joe appears regularly before the Landlord Tenant Board, the Ontario Superior Court, the Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Joe is the author of the legal text “A Practical Guide to the Tenant Protection Act” (Canada Law Book) and is also a member and committee volunteer with a number of housing industry organizations including FRPO, GTAA and LPMA. Joe is also an advocate for employment of persons with disabilities and in 2010 received the inaugural Champion’s League Award from the Ontario Disability Employment Network.
