Paul is managing partner at the firm. A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, he practices in the areas of environmental and energy law and commercial and class action litigaton. He has been designated as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada.

The firm represents the national association of energy pipeline landowners, CAEPLA, and Paul has acted for pipeline landowners across Canada, regional landowner associations, farm organizations and First Nations in connection with gas and oil pipeline and storage projects and other energy issues. He has undertaken national class action claims on behalf of farmers and pensioners. He is an experienced advocate who appears regularly before provincial and federal energy regulators, other adminstrative tribunals and in trial and appellate courts.

The author of a text on civil procedure, he has also published articles on a variety of environmental, energy and property issues. He has conducted seminars for financial institutions, developers and real estate agents concerning environmental liability and has been an instructor in expert witness programs provided for forensic accountants and appraisers. He has participated in conferences for farmers sponsored by OMAFRA and the Ontario Bar Association.

In the Community

Writes and edits Agrilaw, a nationally syndicated column dealing with legal issues of concern to farmers.

Member of the Canadian Association for Community Living, has participated in the development of educational opportunities and services for people with developmental disabilities, and has written on the rights of mentally handicapped citizens.
